2026 Global Hope Completion Project
This project aims to expand the value of diversity and coexistence in Incheon, one of Korea’s most diverse cities, through the i-RISE initiative.
Incheon National University will launch the 2026 Global Hope Completion Project" for the diversity and coexistence of Incheon," the largest migrant-dense city in Korea with 80,000 overseas Koreans, 85,000 multicultural household members, and 122,000 foreigners."
Incheon National University's position is that it will continue to operate and support 16 programs per year to overseas Koreans, multicultural families, and Koreans based on "diversity, coexistence, enlargement, and persistence," away from the past temporary programs that invited multicultural families to conduct field trips, cultural performances, or provide daily necessities.
This program is included in the i-RISE framework and will be conducted with the involvement of related organizations, led by Incheon National University.
In response, Incheon National University's department of external cooperation, which prepared this program, said, "We pledged to prepare for the event sincerely while hearing the desperate feelings of the participants in the Global Hope Completion Project held on December 20 last year and January 10 this year."
"We hope to use the university's resources to provide cultural, artistic, and sports entertainment and life-friendly programs, and to accompany overseas Koreans, multicultural families, and Koreans in partnership with Incheon National University with pride as members of society," he said.
Specifically, if you look at the 16 programs of the "2026 Global Hope Completion Project" prepared by Incheon National University, there are "Mentoring Social Service Courses 1 and 2, SSG Landers Field Group Viewing, Hyowon Park Wolhwawon Spring Outing, Fun and Easy Parent University Entrance Presentation, and Life Science Experience Booth 1 and 2."
It will be followed by the National Assembly and the National Museum of Korea, daily badminton and table tennis classes, joint sports programs between multicultural and general students, MBTI analysis programs, daily law classes, cheerleading classes, briquette volunteering for overseas Koreans and multicultural families, and performance sharing and reporting meetings.
In particular, the mentoring program for Koreans living in Hambak Village will be operated for the first time as a formal social service course, and 11 students from Incheon National University participated in mentoring this first semester, adding more meaning.
In addition, a group tour of the ballpark, a tour of the National Assembly and the National Museum, and a sports class for talent donation of sports students belonging to Incheon National University Sports Promotion Agency will be noticeable, and the process of overseas Koreans and multicultural families participating in briquette volunteering and reflecting on the value of service as a member of society is expected to add to the meaning of this program.
In addition, multicultural students participating in the cheerleading class of Incheon National University's cheering group "Couplions" will decorate the stage of sharing results and holding a briefing session in December, adding to the warmth and attraction of the event.
In addition, the planning and cooperation of 11 departments within the school leading to Incheon National University's external cooperation department, RISE strategy department, regional companion platform, community service center, admission management department, sports science department, sports science department, law school, private institute, science and gifted education institute, and couples.
